I didn't think Intolerable Cruelty held up too well, but I liked the others overall. I really enjoyed Paul, a lot of friends suggested it to me, and I loved Tucker and Dale. I'm a slasher movie fan from way back and it had such a wink and a smile to all those old plots and conventions.

I take it that you saw the newer Planet of the Apes movie. Do you like the older ones?-Sissy

I have seen the new one, but I didn't like it much.

I've actually read the book and I've been listening to a lot of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's podcast. Every time they talk about time travel, Neil brings up Planet of the Apes, so I just had to watch the original again since it is on Netflix streaming.

I haven't seen the full series, but I want to sometime.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was better than it should have been.

Are these all first-time viewings? Are any repeat viewings?

There are a few repeats. I'd already seen Intolerable Cruelty and Planet of the Apes, for example.

Thanks for adding me.

I can see you and I are going to get on just fine :D .. I'm a bit movie and tv watcher too ... although I don't go to the movies very often - watch them all on pay (cable) tv.

Most of these I have seen on Netflix or at the discount movie house.

I think we will be good friends ;)
