Today I had the biggest collection of rude audience members I have ever seen! Every single person needing late seating, for about 4 hours, talked at full volume or yelled once they got into the movie. One of them actually grabbed my flashlight and started swinging it around the house and at the screen randomly.

It was damn tempting. One of those 'Okay! Until everyone can behave like normal, functioning adults you can all go sit in the lobby and think about what you've done!!'

Somehow I don't think the bosses would go for it, though.

At that point, I would not care what the boss or anyone thought. Turn off the movie, turn on the lights and make an announcment that the movie will be delayed until everyone can behave like grownups.
